Promoter Andrew Bain expressed his excitement, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Cookie back for 2026. He missed out a team place with us last year as we tried a different approach to team building – but he’s back with us this season and I know on his day, he can beat anyone in the league.”
Bain also highlighted the competitive spirit Cook brings, saying, “Although he won’t start as No.1, I know he’ll be determined to get back there, and he’ll want to rival Jonas (Jeppesen) for top spot — which is a good thing.” This healthy competition within the team is a key ingredient for success.
